Rest in the Victory of Christ

Jesus Christ

Life is full of struggles. Struggle over sin, sickness, and failure, but victory is found in Christ (1 Corinthians 15:57).

Christ secured victory over sin, sickness, and death by his death on the cross. Everything contrary to the will of God concerning us was blotted out by his blood shed on the cross (Colossians 2:14-15).

The death of Christ on the cross grants victory over sin so that sin will have no dominion over us (Romans 6:14). Some live with the guilt of past sin, but God wants us to rest in our total victory over sin through Christ because there is no condemnation to those in Christ Jesus (Romans 8:1).

Some persons expect victory through other means. Some depend on their fellow men and others depend on diabolical means, but we can only conquer and receive victory through Christ (Romans 8:37).

A child of God experiences victory. He may initially pass through different struggles but will overcome them in the end because whoever is born of God overcomes the struggles of the world through his faith (1 John 5:4).

The world is in constant struggle with the children of God. It’s no surprise because Christ said they will hate them as they hated him. The hatred springs out from the fallen devils who are always antagonistic towards anything that is related to God but greater is he that lives in the children of God than they in the world that is against them (1 John 4:4).

Christ said they (the children of God) will face tribulation and persecution in this world but will overcome in the end if they remain steadfast with him in faith (John 16:33).

Stay watchful and prayerful to secure victory in Christ because the devil doesn’t relent. He will go any length to steal the victory, but you will overcome (1 Peter 5:8).
