Power in the Name of Jesus

Jesus is Lord

Jesus has authority over everything. He is God and the one with the highest authority. Access is granted to anyone who comes in the name of the president of a country. So is anyone with the name of Jesus granted access to command authority through Christ's name because his name controls the universe. Everything in it responds to it. (Matthew 28:18).

God has exalted the name of Jesus above every other name. In the name of Jesus, every knee should bow and every tongue confesses that he is Lord to the glory of God the Father (Philippians 2:9-11).

Jesus appointed some persons in groups to go and preach, heal the sickness, and cast out devils. They returned with gladness that the devils were subject to his name (Luke 10:17).

Signs and wonders can only be performed through Christ's name (Mark 16:17). Peter met a lame beggar on the street. He had no money to give him but made him walk through the name of Jesus (Acts 3:6).

The name of Jesus saves. Salvation is found in no one else. It’s only through the name of Jesus we can be saved. It breaks the chain and yokes of sin that hold down an individual for many years. There is no other name that is given that can save other than the name of Jesus (Acts 4:12).

An angel appeared to Joseph and said Mary will give birth to a child who will be called Jesus that will save his people from their sin. The name “Jesus” means Jehovah our salvation. The name of Jesus represents freedom from sin and all problems (Matthew 1:21).

Prayer without the name of Jesus is just like empty phrases. Christ admonished his disciples to ask whatever they desire in his name before it is granted. Request tendered to God in the name of Jesus is quickly answered by him (John 14:13; John 16:26).

The name of Jesus is not only powerful but a strong tower in which the righteous run and are safe (Proverbs 18:10).
