The Holy Spirit Is Your Greatest Asset

A good Christian

The Holy Spirit is the helper that the Father sends to his people after Christ departed from the earth (John 14:26).

The Holy Spirit is a great asset to a believer. He teaches and saves a person from ignorance. He does this through a still, small voice, dreams, vision, and experience. He gives good memory and helps his student to remember everything taught for subsequent usage (John 14:26).

The Holy Spirit helps a believer to be an effective witness for Christ. He grants the boldness to proclaim Christ without fear or shame. Jesus said he will bear witness of him when he comes (John 15:26). No one has the power or ability to boldly proclaim Christ unless empowered by the Holy Spirit.

The Holy Spirit is a good friend who never forsakes his people. Jesus says he stays forever (John 14:16). He doesn’t abandon in a difficult time but helps an individual to overcome.

The Holy Spirit is a revealer. He reveals deep things about God and unknown things to believers. He reveals things that are to come to them. He knows the thoughts of God and teaches his ways and nature (1 Corinthians 2:10-11).

The Holy Spirit regenerates. In sin, we were all born dead in trespasses, but the Spirit of God reborn and gives us a new beginning. He gives a new heart that can love God wholeheartedly (Titus 3:5).

The Holy Spirit gives power. The power of excellence and capability to do things that were impossible for the believer. Jesus asked his disciples to wait until they are empowered by the power of the Holy Spirit, which helped them to be effective representatives of Christ (Luke 24:49).

The Holy Spirit is received after a person surrenders his life to Christ. Thereafter, he asks through prayer, which God bestows liberally on all who ask (Luke 11:13).
