Seek God First in Everything

A Christian seeking God

The phrase "seek God first in everything" is based on Matthew 6:33, which says, "But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well." This passage is often used to encourage people to prioritize their relationship with God above all other things in their lives.

The idea behind this phrase is that when we seek God first, everything else in our lives will fall into place. It suggests that when we make God the most important thing in our lives, He will provide for us and take care of all our needs.

In addition to Matthew 6:33, there are several other passages in the Bible that speak to the importance of seeking God first. For example, Proverbs 3:6 says, "Seek his will in all you do, and he will show you which path to take." And Psalm 27:4 says, "One thing I ask from the Lord, this only do I seek: that I may dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life." These passages remind us that when we seek God and His will for our lives, He will guide us and provide for us in all things.
