Find Out What God Wants

A christian with bible

If you want to find out what God wants for your life, the first thing you need to do is to seek Him and His will. In Matthew 6:33, Jesus says, "But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well." This verse shows that when we prioritize seeking God and His kingdom, He will take care of our needs.

One way to seek God and His will is through prayer. In Philippians 4:6-7, it says, "Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus." This verse shows that through prayer, we can present our requests to God and receive His peace.

Another way to seek God and His will is through the study of His Word, the Bible. In Psalm 119:105, it says, "Your word is a lamp for my feet, a light on my path." This verse shows that the Bible can guide us and show us the way to follow.

In addition to seeking God through prayer and the study of His Word, we can also seek Him through fellowship with other believers. In Hebrews 10:24-25, it says, "And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds, not giving up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but encouraging one another—and all the more as you see the Day approaching." This verse shows that through fellowship with other believers, we can encourage one another and help each other grow in our faith.

Furthermore, we can seek God's will through listening to the guidance of the Holy Spirit. In Romans 8:14, it says, "For those who are led by the Spirit of God are the children of God." This verse shows that when we are led by the Holy Spirit, we can be assured that we are following God's will.

Overall, there are several ways that we can seek God and His will for our lives. By prioritizing seeking Him, we can receive His guidance, direction, and peace.
