Ask with Confidence in Prayer

Prayer to God

God craves the prayer of the righteous. The Bible says it’s his delight (Proverbs 15:8). He is not disturbed with your prayer but disturbed when you don’t call on him. He desires your persistent asking.

Jesus wasn’t happy with his disciple when they were reluctant to ask from him in his name. He encouraged them to do so (John 16:24). Ask in the name of Jesus and your request will be granted.

God is closer than we think and listens to the prayer of those who call on him in faith. He fulfills the desires of those who fear him (Psalm 145:18-19). Ask and he will answer.

The answer to prayer is restricted when it’s asked with the wrong motive to satisfy our lust (James 4:3). Ask with God and the good of others in mind and you will be answered.

However, prayer requires persistence. Don’t ask once and relent if you don’t find the answer. Jesus Christ compared it with knocking. Most times, a door is knocked on several times before entrance is granted by the resident (Matthew 7:7-8).

Prayer also requires faith. It’s impossible to please God without faith. God wants us to ask from him in faith without wavering or doubting (Matthew 21:22).

God hates disobedience. It hinders answers to prayer. He wants total conformity to his laws and standard. Those who keep the commandments of God pleases him and their prayers are easily granted by him (1 John 3:22).

Abide in Christ and let his words dwell richly in you and your prayers will be granted. Every prayer is prayed in his name. He is the foundation for all prayer. We must remain with him to receive answers from God (John 15:7).

God wants us to ask from him with confidence. Whatever you ask, believe that you have received it and it will be yours (Mark 11:24). Don’t have fear or doubt in your mind that the prayer will not be granted. Have faith and believe in God.
