Why God Created Human Beings

God created man.

Everything was created for a purpose and God's creation of human beings isn't an exception.

Man was created by God for different reasons and one of them is dominion.

Genesis 1:26, “And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion...”

Man was created by God to dominate. Dominate means to rule and prevail. They were not only created to rule and prevail over animals and the sea creatures but to prevail in every aspect of their lives.

Every man is created to prosper (3 John 1:2). Some believe that God created man to strive in lack and labor on earth and wait for heaven, but NO! He wants us to rule and prosper on earth and still go to heaven in the end.

However, the grace to live in dominion on earth was sold out to the devil by Adam and Eve when they fell into sin. To regain the grace to dominate, we must surrender our lives to Jesus Christ, who has paid the price for our sin and dominion by his death on the cross.

God also created human beings to receive glory and praise from them.

Isaiah 43:21, “This people have I formed for myself; they shall shew forth my praise.”

God delights in praise. He wants us to praise him in everything. Instead of complaining about the things we don't have, we should thank him for the ones he has given us (Psalm 150:6).

God also created man to do good.

Ephesians 2:10, “For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.”

God takes delight in good works and kindness shown to one another. That's one of the reasons he created us to do good and shun evil.

God also creates man for stewardship. He created Adam and Eve and placed them in the garden to keep it.

Genesis 2:15, “And the Lord God took the man, and put him into the garden of Eden to dress it and to keep it.”

Before the birth of everyone, God assigned a task to him. This is called life purpose. Every man needs to discover and live by it before death.

God did not just create man to live and die for heaven in the end. Every man was made for more.

May God grant us the grace to discover our purpose of living and live by it. Amen.
