How to Find Righteousness in God

Saying prayer to God

Righteousness means different things, but God approves that from Christ.

Some think they are righteous by good works, like giving to the needy. Though the Lord wants kindness shown to others but shouldn’t be standard for being righteous.

Romans 5:1 says what righteousness is: “Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ.”

Justification means declared righteous. We are righteous by faith in Christ and not by works (Ephesians 2:8). A man who thinks he is righteous by works is like someone on rags visiting a king. Our self-righteousness is a rag in his sight (Isaiah 64:6).

The unrighteous will not inherit heaven. Fornication, adultery, homosexuality, lesbianism, stealing, and drunkenness are examples (1Corinthians 6:9-10).

Amazingly, some people live in them. They feel works will save them. God cannot be mocked. He wants repentance or no heaven.

There is hope for everyone. We can be righteous by faith in Jesus Christ. By that, we also find peace.

Apart from righteousness and peace with God, we also get grace (Romans 5:2). Only in Christ, we find divine influence over lives. We find hope for eternal life and the rapture.

When we find righteousness in Christ, the Holy Spirit is given to us. He leads us to grow in the things of God.

However, life with Christ isn’t always of comfort. Be happy whether in comfort or adversity. The Lord wants righteous life through Jesus. Through him, eternal life is found.
